Caitlin joined Coutts Crane as an associate in 2015 after being called to the Bar in 2014. She is a graduate of Queen’s University where she obtained her Juris Doctorate and an Honours B.A. with a major in Psychology.
While attending Queen’s University, she volunteered for Queen’s Legal Aid and participated in the Correctional Law Project, a one-of-a-kind program which provides legal advice to inmates in local penitentiaries. While articling at Queen’s Legal Aid, she provided advice to low-income community members on a wide range of matters including Small Claims actions, provincial offences, and landlord-tenant disputes. Caitlin has continued to help those in need by raising funds each winter to provide care packs of necessities to individuals living on the streets of Toronto.
Caitlin’s practice primarily focuses on civil litigation, family law, and employment law. She has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, and the Court of Appeal as well as various administrative tribunals. Her education and training in mediation allows her to take a flexible approach in handling client matters to find the most practical resolution that meets the client’s needs.
