Michele is a Partner with Coutts Crane. Her practice is primarily focused on Corporate and Commercial Law, servicing a range of clients from private individuals to businesses small, medium and large. Her services include counsel in the execution of asset and share purchases and sales, in the negotiation of shareholder agreements, and in the arranging of commercial financing, as well as family trusts.

Michele also practices Estates Law and Real Estate Law. For many high-profile clients, Michele assists with estate planning, drafting wills, powers of attorney and trusts, and with settling of estates. She also handles many aspects of her clients’ real estate needs, including purchase, sale and leasing of both residential and commercial properties.

Michele received her LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1987. Two years later, after being called to the Ontario Bar with Honours, she joined the Coutts Crane team.

Prior to entering Osgoode Hall, Michele worked in the Toronto legal community where she gained many years of experience in the processes and mechanisms of corporate and commercial law. With this extensive practical experience combined with her academic training at Osgoode Hall, Michele is unusually well-suited for addressing the widely-varied and complex needs of clients both effectively and efficiently. The result of her levels of experience and service is a large and active practice.

Michele Guy is a member of the Canadian Bar Association. As an active Rotarian for many years, Michele had the honour of being the first woman President of the Rotary Club of Toronto and the co-chair of the Rotary International Convention held in 2018 in Toronto.
